12 (plus 1) Songs for Christmas: “When You Go Down” and “Starting Over”

“When you go down, all the children will sing. When you go down, the bells of freedom will ring. One two three four five six seven. John Lewis is gonna shout from heaven….When you go down.”

I’ve featured this before, but this is definitely the song we need for today. Thanks, grassroots Georgia organizers!

Also sing along with Chris Stapleton. If there is any justice and common sense in Nashville, surely the country song of the year.

MBE standard notice: The time I spend on this blog is not in addition to a Twitter and FaceBook presence, but an alternative to it.  If you think anything here merits wider circulation, this will probably only happen if you circulate it.
